Time to Say Goodbye
Dear Families,
Even though it is cliche, it is hard to believe that we are wrapping up the end of our school year.  It truly does seem like yesterday that Mrs. Lyons and I were getting the classroom ready for all of these kiddos.  I can't say thank you enough to all of the support you have shown our whole Kindergarten teaching staff.  Parents and families play such an important role in the success of students, classroom and school.  You ALL stepped up more than I could have ever asked you to do!  I truly credit you with helping to keep Kinderplus in place.  You went above and beyond and there really aren't enough "thank yous" in the world to say for that.  I have truly enjoyed knowing your little peanuts and getting to know ALL of the families. Kindergarten is such a special grade and I love being a part of their lives.  I hope that both student's and families come back and continue visiting throughout your children's elementary career. Hopefully I will get the pleasure of spending more time with your family if your children have younger siblings that will be coming up.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer making family memories! I am excited to be able to spend the summer with my own children at the beach, pool and outside.  Hopefully moving into our new house won't consume us too much :)
Thank you again for a great year!

Talented Kindergarten Kiddos

Today was talent day in our music class.  Mrs. Jambeau invited us to come and watch all of our talented kids perform for their classmates- and we were so glad that we did!  We had no idea how talented our kiddos were!  We were treated to piano selections, dances, songs, and even some improv!  The kids did an awesome job and were very entertaining!  We were so proud of all of the kids that got up and performed in front of others!

Kindergarten is Ducky!

As you know we spent the month of May tracking the growth of chicken eggs in our classroom.  We were very disappointed when not 1 egg hatched out of 36!  The high school teacher that also hatches eggs with us, did not have any chickens either.  We knew that it was disappointing to our kiddos and tried calling every farm within 50 miles to see if we could borrow some chicks for a few days.  We didn't have any luck with that- but we were able to borrow some baby ducks!  The boys and girls were so surprised when they came in this morning and saw two baby ducks in our classes.  We got to pet them, read a story with them and watch them swim around in a kiddie pool.  The boys and girls talked about things that the ducks had in common with baby chicks and things that make them different.  Although it wasn't the same as watching our own chicks hatch, we were so grateful to be able to have ducks for a day!

Field Day!!!!!!!!!!

We had a blast at Field day! The kiddos did an awesome job working together at the different field day stations!  We did water balloon toss, potato sack races and many fun relay games.  We wrapped up our field day with popsicles and listened to the Troy High Drum line perform.  To sum it up one of the kids said, "It was the BEST day EVER!" Thank you to Mrs. Redden and all the parent volunteers who helped make Field Day such a success!
